OtakuFest in Cebu



Otakufest is the biggest cosplay and hobby convention in Cebu. Otakufest is derived from the Japanese word otaku, which is used to describe anime and video game fans. Thousands of cosplayers and anime lovers gather to show off their unique costumes and meet other people.
 Two years ago, I had the opportunity to join the Otakufest. It was held in the grounds of the Ayala Center, Cebu. As I strolled around the area, I took photos of the cosplayers which I found interesting, and I was able to take pictures with them as well. Later on, I went to some shops where you can buy Japanese things such as anime merchandise, figurines, and traditional masks. 
 I surely had a wonderful time at the festival and met people who love anime as much as I do. If you are an anime lover, an Otaku, or a cosplayer, Otakufest is the best place for you to feel like you are in a virtual world.

オタクフェスは、セブ島で最大のコスプレと趣味の大会、お祭りです。オタクフェスは、アニメやビデオゲームのファンを表す日本語の「オタク」という言葉に由来しています。何千人ものコスプレイヤーやアニメ愛好家が集まり、ユニークなコスチュームを披露したり、他の人々と知り合うことができます。

2年前、私はオタクフェスに参加する機会がありました。セブ島のアヤラセンターの敷地内で開催されました。私は周辺を散策しながら、面白いと思ったコスプレイヤーたちの写真を撮りました。その後、アニメグッズやフィギュア、伝統的なお面など、日本のものが買えるお店にも行ってみました。

このフェスティバルでは、私と同じようにアニメが好きな人たちと出会い、とても楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。もしあなたがアニメ好き、オタク、コスプレイヤーであれば、オタクフェスは仮想世界にいるような気分を味わえる最高の場所だと思います。
