La bande dessiné‌e

'La bande dessiné‌e' is a genre of comics peculiar to France and Belgium, which has spread to mainland Europe. The format is very different from the Japanese manga and the American comic book: they are large illustrated books of 24cm x 32cm, with a hard cover, generally in full color (unless black and white is an aesthetic choice, as with the Corto Maltese series, for example).

La parution n'est pas aussi reguliè‌re que pour les mangas ou les comic books. Certains tomes mettent plus d'un an à‌ paraitre parfois, ce qui peut ê‌tre du à la complexité de l'art, au nombre de pages, à des changements de scripts ou à d'autres projets des artistes ou des auteurs !

The publication of books is not as regular as manga or comic books. Some books take over a year to appear sometimes, which can be due to the complexity of the art, the number of pages, changes in scripts or other projects of the artists or authors!

As with other literary formats, comics embrace all genres: fiction and reality, history, science fiction, fantasy, humor or even suspense... The potential is endless. Generally, these comics are published in French, and only the most popular are translated into other languages (Tintin or Asterix, for example). However, some comics called "silent comics" have no text and the story is fully described in pictures, which makes them accessible to everyone.

Ma bande dessinée préferée n'est malheureusement pas traduite ! Il s'agit d'une saga historique, "Sambre", realisée par l'auteur belge Yslaire. La parution de cette Saga a commencé dans les années 80, et le dernier tome devait sortir le 6 janvier 2021, mais malheureusement la sortie a été repoussée ! J'ai hâ‌te de mettre la main sur ce dernier tome.

My favorite comic is unfortunately not translated! This is a historical saga, "Sambre", directed by the Belgian author Yslaire. The publication of this Saga began in the 1980s, and the last volume was due out on January 6th, 2021, but unfortunately the release has been postponed! I can't wait to get my hands on this latest book.

My name is Lovely! I like to travel. Photography assists me with recollecting my life and the people in it, the spots I visit, the things I love, in far more detail and color. Having the opportunity to record recollections is one significant reason behind why I love photography. It has expanded my view of the world. This lovely world.

L'été

Summer

C'est bientôt l'été, et comme chaque année à la même période, ça me rappelle mon enfance. Beaucoup de gens sont surpris quand je leur dis que l'été est ma saison préférée, au Japon. La chaleur et l'humidité sont parfois difficiles à supporter, mais ça ne me dérange pas trop. Le chant des cigales, le soleil, les promenades nocturnes, les glaces, le café froid… et bien sûr la nostalgie. Cette nostalgie de mon enfance, lorsque je pouvais profiter de deux mois de vacances en juillet et en août. Le plus souvent je voyageais, en Corse par exemple, ou je restais à la maison, je jouais avec mon frère, mes amis… je faisais des promenades en forêt le week-end… J'en garde de très beaux souvenirs. C'est pour cette raison que j'aime toujours autant l'été, même au Japon, et que cette année encore, je prendrai quelques semaines de vacances pour profiter du soleil, du calme des chaudes soirées japonaises et du charme de la nature estivale.

It's almost summer, and like every year at the same time, it reminds me of my childhood. A lot of people are surprised when I tell them summer is my favorite season in Japan. The heat and humidity are sometimes hard to bear, but I don't mind too much. I like the song of the cicadas, the sun, night walks, ice cream, cold coffee… and of course, nostalgia. This nostalgia for my childhood, when I could enjoy two months of vacation in July and August. Most of the time I traveled, in Corsica for example, or I stayed at home, I played with my brother, my friends… I went for walks in the forest on weekends… I have fond memories of them. It is for this reason that I still love summer so much, even in Japan, and that this year again, I will take a few weeks of vacation to enjoy the sun, the calm of the warm Japanese evenings and the charm of summer nature.

Everything changes in just one blink of our eyes. I am the kind of person who loves welcoming and accepting changes and trials. Giving up is not in my nature as this is what life wants us to be. It's supposed to be tough, but the good thing is I am surrounded by people who are real and will not leave me battling those things alone.

We have to think that our life is like a ship. We change our sails for us to keep out the problems that we are facing. The waves of emotions and strong winds of challenges are the struggles of our lives. There can be good and bad changes but we should know how to face those things in life and be as positive as we can.

Happiness is always our choice and loneliness is not an option. We have to be versatile in order to cope with the changes in life. So, I face them head on and always try to put a smile on my face. A smile can ease the heaviness of this world.

Let's make a positivity virus and scatter it all over the world. Keep shining and spreading good vibes to everybody.
