Jessica- Yakiniku in Nagoya



Recently, I went to Nagoya to do some sightseeing and eat yakiniku. I know that Nagoya is famous for misokatsudon and kishimen. However, whenever I go there I prefer to eat yakiniku. A social media friend of mine owns a yakiniku restaurant. The food is delicious and the staff who works for him is nice as well. That’s why I go to Nagoya to eat yakiniku.

Kuerzlich war ich in Nagoya um mir die Stadt ein bisschen anzusehen und um Yakiniku zu essen. Ich weiss, dass man in Nagoya eigentlich Misokatsudon oder Kishimen isst, aber wenn ich nach Nagoya gehe, esse ich lieber Yakiniku. Ein Facebook Freund von mir hat sein eigenes Yakiniku Restaurant. Das essen in seinem Restaurant ist sehr lecker und seine Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett. Darum gehe ich gerne nach Nagoya zum Yakiniku essen.

I like beef tongue, steak, vegetables and salad with umeboshi dressing, but I have to admit that I’m not keen on horumon because it’s too chewy.
 
Am liebsten mag ich Rinderzunge, Steak, Gemuese und Salat mit Umeboshi Dressing. Horomon schmeckt mir nicht so gut. Es ist mir zu zäh.

Before I came to Japan, I didn’t know what a yakiniku restaurant was. Nor did I know what to do when the food arrives. Last June, I ate yakiniku for the first time. At first, it seemed a bit unusual to prepare the raw food myself at the table, but I really liked it. It reminded me of BBQs. In Germany, people love to have BBQs in the summer. We grill sausages, meat, vegetables and even fruit like pineapples, bananas and pears.

Bevor ich nach Japan kam, wusste ich nicht, was ein Yakiniku Restaurant ist und was man darin macht. Im Juni letzten Jahres bin ich zum ersten mal Yakiniku essen gegangen. Zuerst war es ungewoehnlich, rohe Zutaten im Restaurant selbst zuzubereiten, jedoch fand ich die Idee toll. Es erinnert mich an Grillen. In Deutschland grillen viele Leute gerne im Sommer. Wir grillen Wurst, Fleisch, Gemuese, sogar Fruechte wie Ananas, Bananen oder Birnen.
