Sinulog is Cebu's grandest and most anticipated festival throughout the year. It is celebrated in honor of Señor Santo Niño and is held every third Sunday of January. 

The celebration starts with a novena mass for nine days at the Basilica Minore de Santo Niño de Cebu. After that, there is a fluvial and solemn procession the day before the festival. On the third Sunday of January, people often gather on the streets to witness the Grand Parade, where Sinulog dancers perform street dances and colorful floats and giants get paraded on the streets. After the Grand Parade, Sinulog dancers then perform their own Sinulog ritual dances on stage for the Sinulog ritual dance competition. 

The celebration then concludes with beautiful fireworks displays, and some people also have street parties. It is indeed Cebu's grandest festival, not only for its exciting activities but also because of its religious history.
