Philippines has 7,641 islands with variety of culture and one island stands out the most, Cebu’s Sinulog Festival. So how do you spend during Sinulog in the city? Locals celebrate Sinulog to offer prayers and pay homage to the sacred child Jesus for protection and guidance. Visiting the churches are highly recommendable in this festive season.
Dance rituals are also one of the highlighted moments of Sinulog Festival. Street dances and colorful parades with loud music and drums are enough to get you dancing with the beat. If you are feeling tired after all the fun activities, many street foods and beverages are awaiting each corner of the venue. I often eat grilled foods and barbeques as they are the easiest to eat. Food parks and restaurants also offer different Filipino delicacies for you to try.
When the sun sets down, the party goes louder as numerous street parties and colorful lights echoes through the night. Bring your friends or family with you for an unforgettable Sinulog of your life. Don't forget to shout Pit Senyor!
