What Brought Me To Japan

The Shinkansen
The shinkansen reminds me of my favourite animal, the whale. The trains are long, beautiful and very fast. They are more convenient than flying from city to city. You just need your ticket and a small snack. The views from the shinkansen also make travelling more fun.
Kyoto
I had seen the beautiful city of Kyoto, the traditional Japanese houses and pictures of kimono in movies. Seeing them with my own two eyes was magical. Everything was better in person. Kyoto has many well-kept gardens, temples, and wooden shrines. Kyoto is a charming city.
Mt Fuji
Pictures of Mount Fuji are beautiful. It is one of the most noticable mountains in the world. I wanted to see and climb it because I heard that many ordinary people do. I also heard that you don't need special hiking gear. Comfortable hiking shoes, waterproof clothing and a small backpack of snacks are enough.
Matcha
I enjoy green tea but I didn't know that green-tea flavoured drinks and snacks were available. I usually see matcha Kit-Kat and matcha lattes on social media. I'm happy that I've tried them. I also enjoy drinking matcha with my meals. It's delicious and is healthier than drinking soda.
Cherry blossoms
Cherry blossoms are so pretty. Everyone wants to see them in person. They photograph really well, especially with castles, shrines and temples in the background. Everyone seems cheerful when the cherry blossoms are in bloom.
