Summer
C'est bientôt l'été, et comme chaque année à la même période, ça me rappelle mon enfance. Beaucoup de gens sont surpris quand je leur dis que l'été est ma saison préférée, au Japon. La chaleur et l'humidité sont parfois difficiles à supporter, mais ça ne me dérange pas trop. Le chant des cigales, le soleil, les promenades nocturnes, les glaces, le café froid… et bien sûr la nostalgie. Cette nostalgie de mon enfance, lorsque je pouvais profiter de deux mois de vacances en juillet et en août. Le plus souvent je voyageais, en Corse par exemple, ou je restais à la maison, je jouais avec mon frère, mes amis… je faisais des promenades en forêt le week-end… J'en garde de très beaux souvenirs. C'est pour cette raison que j'aime toujours autant l'été, même au Japon, et que cette année encore, je prendrai quelques semaines de vacances pour profiter du soleil, du calme des chaudes soirées japonaises et du charme de la nature estivale.
It's almost summer, and like every year at the same time, it reminds me of my childhood. A lot of people are surprised when I tell them summer is my favorite season in Japan. The heat and humidity are sometimes hard to bear, but I don't mind too much. I like the song of the cicadas, the sun, night walks, ice cream, cold coffee… and of course, nostalgia. This nostalgia for my childhood, when I could enjoy two months of vacation in July and August. Most of the time I traveled, in Corsica for example, or I stayed at home, I played with my brother, my friends… I went for walks in the forest on weekends… I have fond memories of them. It is for this reason that I still love summer so much, even in Japan, and that this year again, I will take a few weeks of vacation to enjoy the sun, the calm of the warm Japanese evenings and the charm of summer nature.
