Gao Xiaohong- Red beach

我叫高晓红 ，我是从中国的大连来的。去年我去了趟盘锦市，盘锦市位于辽宁的西部，盛产大米和石油，还有美味的河蟹。

My name is Gao Xiaohong, I come from Dalian in China. Last year, I went to Panjin city, which is located in the western part of Liaoning province. Panjin city's main industries are petroleum and rice. It is also famous for its very delicious river crabs. 
那里有一个有名的景点叫‘红海滩’，景色可以说独一无二，欢迎大家去观赏。

 There’s a famous spot near Panjin city called “Red beach”. The view there can only be described as “one of a kind”. I recommend that you see this beach.


‘红海滩’，意思就是红色的海滩。每年一到秋天，这里的海藻就变成了红色，远远望去就好像一面红色的地毯铺在海面上。有的地方红绿相间。

The reason it is called “Red beach” is due to the color change that happens in the fall. Every year in the fall, the seaweed turns red, making it look as though a red carpet has been spread on the sea when viewed from a distance. Some parts of the carpet are checkered red and green. 
在独木桥上一边走一边观赏这红红的海滩，别有一番风味。走着走着，能看见几只仙鹤立在那里，格外引人注目。还能听到海鸥的叫声，好像朋友一样欢迎你们的到来。
The view can also be admired from a single-plank bridge. Walking along the bridge, you often see cranes standing amid the seaweed. They always attract people’s attention. You can hear seagulls crying in the distance. It sounds like they are welcoming you to the beach as a friend.

Maria - Colorful Japan

Venire in Giappone e' stato come passare da una tv in bianco e nero a una colori. L'Italia e' un paese molto bello e antico, forse proprio per questo le citta' e il paesaggio sembrano non cambiare mai: i colori sono sempre uguali e sembra un po' di vivere nel passato.

Coming to Japan was like going from watching a black and white TV to watching a color TV!
Italy is a very beautiful and old country and, maybe because of that, cities and scenery seem to never change. The colors are always the same and it feels like you’re stuck in the past.

Il Giappone invece e' sempre pieno di luci e colori: quando cammino per le strade di Osaka posso vedere palazzi antichi, nuovi e colorati tutti insieme ed e' bellissimo.

Japan is always full of life and very colorful: when I walk the streets of Osaka I see old buildings, new buildings and colorful buildings all together and it's beautiful!

Ci sono sempre tante persone che cercano di fare pubblicita', vendono da mangiare o passeggiano e quindi la citta' e' sempre viva!

There are always people advertising things, selling food or simply walking around and it makes the city so alive!

Le chiese italiane sono molto belle ma i colori sono sempre scuri poco illuminati, ho sempre pensato che fossero dei posti magnifici ma un po' tristi: sono molto grandi ma chiuse da un opprimente soffitto e quando le persone pregano non possono guardare il cielo. Quando ho visitato il Fushimi Inari, a Kyoto, sono rimasta a bocca aperta*!

Italian churches are very beautiful but the interiors are dark with soft lighting. I always thought these places to be majestic but a little sad at the same time. They are very spacious but with intimidating ceilings. Unfortunately, you don't get to see the sky while praying. When I visited Fushimi Inari, in Kyoto, I was stunned!

Il tempio era di un arancione molto acceso e tutto era all'aperto, sotto il sole. Pregare sembra molto piu' rilassante e sereno qui in Giappone: le persone sono vicine alla natura 

The shrine was a very bright orange and everything was outside, under the sky! Praying is very relaxing and peaceful here in Japan: you feel closer to nature.

Poi nelle chiese italiane c'e' sempre un forte odore di incenso e a me non piace perche' da piccola mi faceva starnutire!
Qui in Giappone la mia vita e' piena di novita' e di colori quindi sono molto felice di essere venuta.

Plus, inside italian churches there is always a very strong smell of incense. This made me sneeze when I was a kid, so I don't like it!
Here in Japan my life is full of new experiences and colors so I'm really glad I came!

 *"rimanere a bocca aperta": an italian expression that describes a surprised reaction, literally “left with your mouth open”, just like this :O
