Chiara：Natale a Milano/ Christmas in Milan　Part2

Il giorno dopo invece sono andata a fare una passaggiata in centro a Milano che si trova circa a 20/30 minuti in macchina da casa mia. Prima di tutto sono andata in Piazza Duomo dove c'è la chiesa più importante di Milano, il Duomo. I milanesi (abitanti di Milano) sono molto affezionati al Duomo. In Piazza c'era il tradizionale albero di Natale molto alto e molto illuminato. Nelle vie vicino alla chiesa c'era il mercatino di Natale con molte bancarelle che vendevano prodotti tipici provienenti da tutte le parti di Italia. Ho fatto un giro sia per il mercatino sia per i negozi e ho fatto un po' di compere. Dalla Piazza sono entrata poi in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II dove c'era un albero di Natale pieno di cristalli Svarowski, e ho passeggiato fino al Teatro alla Scala. Dal teatro ho continuato a camminare fino al Castello Sforzesco, il castello di Milano e poi sono tornata in Piazza Duomo. Era ormai sera e Milano era tutta illuminata con le luci Natalizie.
Le persone e i turisti passaggiavano felici tra le vie eleganti di Milano, facendo foto e ammirando i magnifici edifici storici e le vetrine dei negozi. Anche se faceva freddo le decorazioni e le luci di Natale riscaldavano l'atmosfera e c'era aria di festa. Passeggiare per le vie di Milano, la mia città, mi fa riaffiorare tanti ricordi e mi regala sempre un sorriso.

The next day I went for a stroll in downtown Milan, which is about twenty to thirty minutes from my house. First of all I went to Piazza Duomo, where the cathedral of Milan is located. The Milanese (Milan residents) are very fond of the cathedral (the Duomo). The Piazza (square) has a traditional and very tall Christmas tree, which is lit up with decorations. In the streets nearby there is a Christmas market with many stalls selling local products from all over Italy. I walked around the market and the shops and did some shopping. Then I went to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, where there was a Christmas tree decorated in Swarowski crystals. After that, I walked up to the Teatro alla Scala. From the theater I kept walking up to the Sforzesco Castle, the castle of Milan, and then returned to Piazza Duomo. It was already evening and Milan was all lit up with Christmas lights.
The people and tourists were happy strolling among the elegant streets of Milan, taking pictures and admiring the magnificent old buildings and shop windows. Although it was cold, the decorations and Christmas lights warmed the atmosphere and there was an air of celebration. Walking through the streets of Milan, my city, brings back many memories and always gives me a smile.
