Quando vejo
as propagandas do Brasil no exterior,
normalmente o que é exposto são belas praias, bom
tempo o ano todo e Carnaval. Quando penso nessa retratação o que me
vem na cabeça é o Estado da Bahia.
When
I see advertisements about Brazil abroad,
the characteristics usually promoted are the beautiful beaches, the good weather all year round and
the carnival. When I think of that description, what comes to my mind is the
state of Bahia.
Foi na
cidade de Salvador, capital do Estado, que os portugueses desembarcaram pela
primeira vez no país. Logo, com a expansão
da economia do Brasil colônia, muitos portugueses foram designados a lá viverem
para tomar conta de sua nova terra. Assim, foi uma das cidades que mais cresceram e prosperaram
devido ao porto lá situado, assim, posteriormente se tornaria a primeira capital do país.
The
Portuguese first landed in Brazil in what is now the city of Salvador, the
state capital. With the expansion of the colony's economy, many Portuguese people went to live there to
take care of the new land. The city grew and prospered because of its port and later
became the first
capital
of the country.
Abrigando a
capital, Salvador aflorou uma rica arquitetura
e vários monumentos. Com o aumento da necessidade de força de trabalho muitos
africanos foram escravisados e trazidos ao Brasil, com eles, trouxeram uma
belissima cultura de sons como de Gilberto Gil, Maria Bethania e os tambores do
Olodum, de religiões como o Candomblé e Umbanda e deram a arquitetura local
cores variadas resultando no apelido “Capital da Alegria”. Por essa vasta bagagem cultural, tornou-se patrimonio
cultural da UNESCO em 1985.
As
the capital, Salvador produced a rich architecture of many monuments. With an
increased need for labour, many Africans were enslaved and brought to Brazil.
They brought with them a gorgeous culture of sounds, like Gilberto Gil, Maria
Bethania and the drums of Olodum; and religions, like Candomble and Umbanda;
and they gave the local architecture a range of colours resulting in the
nickname "City of Joy". For its vast cultural background, Salvador
became a UNESCO cultural heritage in 1985.
Aos que gostam
de aventura, um dos principais destinos do ecoturismo
no país é o Parque Nacional da Chapada da Diamantina. Uma Região Serrana onde
nascem os principais rios do Estado formando belas cachoeiras
e piscinas naturais.
To
those who love adventure, one of the main destinations for ecotourism in the country is the
Chapada Diamantina National Park. This is a mountainous region where the main
rivers of the state rise, creating beautiful waterfalls and natural pools.
Pelo clima
ser sempre quente, e se pode ir a praia o ano todo. A mínima temperatura já
registrada no Estado foi de 17 graus Celcius.
A Bahia é
conhecida por ser um dos destinos mais
buscados pelos brasileiros quando buscam os melhores Carnavais e praias paradisiacas.
As mais populares são: Praia do Espelho,
Quarta Praia, Trancoso, Praia do Forte.
The
weather is always hot and you can go to the beach all year long. The lowest
temperature ever recorded in the state was 17 degrees Celsius.
Bahia
is known for being one of the most requested destinations by Brazilian tourists seeking
the best carnivals and paradisiacal
beaches. The most popular beaches are: Mirror Beach, Fourth Beach, Trancoso, and
Praia do Forte.
