Adding to its reputation, the island hosts the annual Calicoan Odyssey Waves Surfing Competition at ABCD Beach in Guiuan, Eastern Samar, every October. The event brings together some of the country's top surfers to compete in shortboard, longboard, and junior divisions.
Whether you're an experienced surfer chasing the perfect wave or a traveler in search of a unique island getaway, Calicoan Island promises an experience that is both exciting and inspiring.
