What I want to do in Japan
By Teacher Vien

Japan has always been at the top of my travel list. There's something about the mix of tradition and modernity that draws me in. If I ever get the chance to visit, here's what I'd love to experience.

Visit Kyoto's temples.
Next, I'd head to Kyoto to see the Golden Pavilion and walk through the famous red gates of Fushimi Inari Shrine. I've always wanted to experience the serenity of Kyoto, especially during cherry blossom season.

See Mount Fuji.
I've always dreamed of seeing Mount Fuji. I'd love to get a perfect view of it from Kawaguchiko Lake, surrounded by nature.

Relax in an Onsen.
Finally, after all the exploring, I'd unwind in an Onsen, soaking in the natural minerals while taking in Japan's beautiful landscapes.
There's so much to look forward to in Japan, and I can't wait to dive into everything it offers. Whether it's the food, the culture, or the stunning nature, I know this will be an unforgettable journey.

My Volunteer Work: A Journey of Teaching and Learning

By: Teacher Gee

During my time at university, I was given the opportunity to participate in a community extension program, a volunteer work experience that I will forever cherish. Little did I know that this would shape my perspective on teaching, community, and personal growth in ways I could never have imagined.

What made this program unique was that it wasn’t just about teaching them the lessons but about understanding their individual needs, finding ways to make the material accessible, and creating an environment where they felt safe to ask questions and explore.

My time as a volunteer reminded me that sometimes, the smallest gestures—like offering a helping hand or sharing a lesson—can make a world of difference. This experience was a reminder that teaching is not just about academics but about building relationships, understanding the person in front of you, and fostering a sense of belonging and community. It was an experience that not only shaped my teaching philosophy but also deepened my understanding of the world around me.
