Swimming with whale sharks in the Philippines is one of the most popular activities that many travelers add to their must-do lists.　　　　　　　　　　　

Oslob, an island in Cebu, has become famous for its whale shark sanctuary, where visitors can snorkel or dive alongside these incredible creatures in their natural environment.

It's essential to follow strict guidelines, such as no touching, chasing, or harassing the whale sharks, no flash photography, and limiting the number of boats and swimmers in the area.

If you're traveling from Mactan-Cebu International Airport or Cebu City, the trip will take about 3 to 4 hours by car or bus, depending on traffic.

The Wonders of the Public Market

Are you a food lover? Do you enjoy cooking? Have you ever visited a public market? 
In the Philippines, a "public market" is referred to as a "palengke”. A “palengke” is a designated area where vendors sell a variety of fresh produce, food items, and other goods directly to the public. Essentially, it's a bustling open-air marketplace where people can buy everyday necessities at affordable prices.
As a food lover who enjoys cooking with local ingredients, I always make sure that my ingredients are fresh, affordable, and readily available. Every afternoon after work, I visit the public market near my home. It excites me to see the variety of fresh local products at very affordable prices and to explore the stalls where skilled vendors showcase their crafts. The lively atmosphere, filled with the chatter of fellow shoppers, adds to the experience too. 
If you want to buy local ingredients, head to the palengke!
